Welcome To
Brian E. Jackson Community Development Corporation (BEJ CDC)
BEJ CDC is a non-profit organization dedicated to programs and services tailored to assist and empower the community.
The goal of our organization is to “BE” the change we wish to see in our community and to help others reach their greatest potential with accessible education across a number of development strands. We specifically serve in under resourced communities and urban areas where we know the personal attainment of financial and wealth goals can happen in a more tangible and duplicable manner when the information is shared using cultural sensitivities to learning and where the facilitators/instructors understand how historical inequities play a role in the divide with this type of knowledge. This allows people of all income levels the opportunity to attain information that they may not have otherwise been able to attain.
We deliver our services through a hybrid model of education: online and in-person, as we also include global opportunities for people to learn about community advancement through our travel abroad series – which helps expose our constituents to other countries and other cultures, thereby creating very well-rounded future leaders of the world!

What Is A CDC?
Community Development Corporations (CDC’s) are sometimes known as Community Based Organizations or Neighborhood Development Corporations. CDCs vary in size, structure and primary mission. CDCs can help a community take a proactive role in its economic, political and social development. It is a vehicle through which the community can provide direct involvement and input into present and future community efforts that will empower generations.
Organizational Overview
Since our inception, BEJ CDC has worked on advocating for marginalized populations, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Recognizing that true, lasting change requires collaboration and shared responsibility, BEJ CDC has consistently prioritized building strategic partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations.
These collaborations enable us to:
Expand Resources
By working with a diverse range of takeholders, we access a broader pool of resources, funding, and expertise to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Share Knowledge and Best Practices
We actively engage in knowledge exchange, ensuring that we learn from each other and apply best practices in our programming and advocacy efforts.
Amplify Impact
Through these partnerships, we enhance our capacity to advocate for policy change, provide direct services, and create long-term, systemic improvements for the underserved population.
